We can act as your competent person as required by Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety Regulations 1999.
Health and Safety Policy
A Health and Safety Policy identifies how a company plans to manage its business activities in a safe and healthy way.
If you employ 5 or more people you must have a written, up to date and regularly reviewed Health and Safety Policy. We can review your existing policy and identify if any improvements are needed or we can produce a bespoke policy targeted at your business.
Construction Phase Plans
Under the new Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 all construction projects whether Domestic or Commercial must have a construction phase plan in place.
Site Inspections and Audits

Scaffold Inspections
The working at Height regulations require scaffold structures to be inspected following installation / before first use, at a period of no more than 7 days thereafter and following any circumstances liable to jeopardise the safety of the installation.

Risk Assessments
Under the Management of Health and Safety Regulations 1999 you are required to complete Risk Assessments on your work activities and communicate the significant findings and control measures to your employees.
Acting as your competent person we can produce:
- General Risk Assessments for your working activities that you can amend as required
- COSHH Assessments to comply with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002
- Display Screen Assessments to comply with Display Screen Equipment Regulations 1992
- Specific Risk Assessments for specific tasks or projects.
Employee Handbook
The Health and Safety at Work Act etc. 1974 requires you to ensure that all employees have access to information that allows them to complete their work safely.
At Proactive Safety Services (UK) we can produce a handbook that is specific to you and your business. It will contain your company logo and issued to you in full colour to distribute to your employees in a suitable format. Alternatively we can print the handbooks for you and issue them in an A5 hardback binder.

Proactive Safety Services (UK) can issue you legally compliant templates for work equipment and machinery inspections, Fire Safety documentation, PPE issuing records and training record documentation.
